Did You Know? According To World Bank, Earth Is Exporting Goods & Services To Aliens For $939 Bn Yearly

Exporting

Economy is a great thing. It allows us to live much easier lives than our ancestors. Because of trade, we are able to enjoy goods that aren’t naturally found in our areas of living. Of course, in order for one country to receive something it doesn’t have, it has to buy it from another one. Furthermore, in order to receive the object of the purchase, it also has to ship it over. That’s roughly how importing and exporting goods and services work.

Exporting

But, there’s an interesting discrepancy at work here. According to data from the World Bank, in 2015, total exports of all countries in the world (in dollars, at 2010 prices) amounted to $22,803,308,530,312, while the total imports of all the countries in the world amounted to $21,863,938,286,088. In other words, global exports exceed global imports by $939 billion.

Exporting

There are two possible explanations for this difference. The first: the Earth is exporting goods and services to alien civilizations in outer space, and no one is telling us about it. The second: this is the result of some distortion in the recording of data. For example, some exports may be illegal smuggling, which register as legitimate exports in the source country, yet, for some reason fail to record as imports in the destination country. But, of course, the first explanation is the more reasonable one.
